Irony
I attended the September LA Boot Camp, and I anticipate that in the years to come I will look back on it as one of the singular events of change in my life. Of course, like all students forking over more cash than a down payment on a car for this leap of faith that we're too embarrassed to even tell their friends about, I was nervous and skeptical about what I was to see from these supposed Pick Up Artists. I had read, in this order, "The Game," "The Venusian Arts," and "Magic Bullets," so I had heard most of the information given in the seminar before. I don't want to discount this because, hearing the Author (Savoy) actually break it down and support every point while providing more in depth real-world applications was worth its weight in gold, but I guess ideas don't weigh that much, so I'd have to say the experience was invaluable; that's when it's so much more than valuable that its Invaluable (for those of you who got the Three Amigos reference, good for you, to the rest of you, Suck it!). But, what I signed up for, undoubtedly, was the in-Field experience. I wanted to witness the spectacle that I had read so much about, if it even existed.
And, to my horror and wonderment this Art of Pick Up did exist... in spades. Up to the point where I saw Braddock and Dahunter take 2 hotties (who I had been in set with previously that night) and brace them up against the wall and bar, respectively, in a never-ending make out session (they later closed), this concept was rumor, not reality. My mind spun out of control in wonder that this could actually be learned, and the terror of regret set in concerning the years wasted. I had high expectations of the In-Field Workshop section of the Boot Camp, and my expectations were easily exceeded. But, things did not start to gel for me right away. I found out very quickly that I could be a social person, but all of the information just circled in my head, and I couldn't really grab hold of it, apply it to myself, and then apply it in-field until the night myself and a few students had dinner with Braddock. He really took a huge load of information and broke it down in a way that each of us could apply to our own games. This experience was the moment in the Boot Camp where the curtain was pulled back and the Wizard was exposed. It seemed like, in a heartbeat, he took a billion bytes of information and made them into a cohesive and whole routine just for me. I couldn't write down what he was saying fast enough, but I didn't dare stop him because, if he was on a roll, I didn't want to screw it up. Due to Braddock's great perceptive nature, he was able to take what he had learned about each of us and just what he needed to know to help us hammer home a great understanding of where we should go with our identities and routines. I am saving up my pennies, and digging through the recycling bins right now in prep for the ONE on ONE that I will take with Braddock... I anticipate that it will be the best money I'll ever spend.
The Instructors:
Braddock... Energy Energy ENERGY. Out of all the guys who instructed us, he seemed to really notice the details of our games the most. He would find you after a set and tell you exactly what you were doing right and wrong. He must be familiar with a lot of other PUAs' games because he continually would say to a student, "I can tell your game will be different than mine, but I know it will work because this PUA gets away with that all the time." He was fantastic at realizing what you were doing, remembering it and giving you options (which worked) in the next set. I can't say enough good things about this guy. He has also actively followed up with me and other students since the BC. I feel in debt to Braddock for what I learned at this bootcamp.
I didn't get to watch Savoy as much in the field as I wanted. I heard the stories from my fellow students about his game. He had a girl up on his lap in 2 minutes... Any time I saw him in-field he had a gorgeous blonde (always a blonde) tagging behind him. He would usually stop and open up another set while she was following him around. She would wait hoping he would rejoin her, then finally lose her patience and come over to him and pine for his attention. It was fucking amazing! He winged me once, and the spectacle he created from lifting my target's friend in the air, and the attraction from her boisterous laughter was too much for my target to resist, so she joined his conversation and left me in the dust. I have a lot to learn, and this motherfucker is one to learn from. I wish I had a little more opportunity to see him do his thing.
I can only imagine that, after a girl realizes that she has been laid by Dahunter, she thinks to herself, "how did this little pierced Latino slide into my pants so damn quickly? And how do I get more of it?" When he was in a set, it was like the girl lost her own will and took on his. He winged me twice, and I thought I was doing really well, but as soon as he isolated his target (presumably to help me) my target tagged along after him as if she couldn't not follow him. His powers bled out to the surrounding HBs and he didn't even realize it. The point was driven home when I left a set and asked Dahunter, "what did I do wrong?" to which he responded "I'll show you." He opened her with the exact opener I used and with in 10 minutes they were playing the "let's get as close to kissing as possible without kissing" game; she lost. I'm glad he didn't run game on me because I probably would have made out with him.
All in all, these guys ran flawless game. From what I understand they all closed during BC, and for the most part they all gave great attention to students when and where it was necessary. This BC gave me hope for the future and made me wish I had only heard about this fairy tale world years before now.
