Houston
Bootcamp Hell, I don't even know where to begin. I had one of the best weekends I've had in a long time. Nothing beats getting out there with guys that know what the fuck they're doing. And it was very refreshing to be in the company of instructors who were the most down to earth "regular" guys who actually gave a damn about your progress. I never felt like I was in anybody's shadow at all. Although I wish I could have eavesdropped on some more of their sets without being weird.
I got exactly what I wanted out of the experience. I know what works for me and what I need to work on. A couple of instructors I didn't get to work with a great deal but the time I did spend was very valuable. Each instructor had their own unique persona and added depth to the learning experience. All very cool guys that you can shoot the shit with.
As for the students, it was cool to not be alone in this. I felt good about hanging with like-minded guys who I could also learn from. All regular guys who I consider friends. Kinda like a bonding experience we were all there to achieve the same goal. Being from different walks of life and at different points in our own lives was settling to see what works and what doesn't for different people. These are cool guys that got shit going for them and there's no reason they wouldn't be able to succeed at this.
I could go on and on. I'm pumped and drained at the same time. This game is fun and it can only get better. If you want to get good at this and realize your potential then nothing beats taking a bootcamp. |
