Chiguy
Philadelphia
Bootcamp
About me: I'm 30, been in the game about a year doing mostly DYD w/o
much success; found out about the other people in seduction and decided
to take the workshop in Philly on Nov. 12-14.
Day 1, Friday: I
arrive to the hotel room where we would have the seminar. I meet Savoy
who was there as an instructor. There were 6 other guys in the seminar,
but only 4 of us did the in-field workshop. We heard a lot about
structure, the A-C-S stages and how the game is played. We didn't go
into too much material -- this day was more about the structure.
That
night we went to Finnegan's Wake, a two-level bar with mostly
20-somethings. After a while, I started opening my own sets with
varying success. I got blown out a couple times but I also stayed in
some over 10 minutes which was good for me, esp. since it was just day
1.
Day 2, Saturday: We meet in the hotel again and go over more,
this time learning more material to fill in the structure. We talk
about when to use kino, escalating through the stages, etc. Savoy did a
good job teaching part of the workshop this day, also, mainly about
dates and such.
That night we went to old town. One of the guys
had opened a seated two set so I went in and winged. The girls swapped
and the next thing I know, I've got a pretty cute blond girl cuddling
against me and there's lots of kino going on. I keep my relaxed BL and
let her come into me. I break out my digital camera and worked the
digital photo routine that we had learned -- it works! Savoy sits down
and asks if I want to continue with this set or try some others. I wish
I would have tried some other sets, but I was having fun. I left the
girls for a bit but as the bar was closing we found them again and
bounced to an after-hours joint where my girl got drunk and my night
ended. Ah well -- good experience.
Day 3 Today we met at the
house of one of the guys in the workshop. We recapped what we'd learned
so far and some more light bulbs turned on. We talked about how to
AMOG, some more routines, and finished with identities. We went out
again in old town, but it was hard finding sets. It was just a dead
night on town, but I still got in some practice.
The workshop
was definitely worth it. I'm more motivated now, but it was also very
helpful to see the structure of how the game is supposed to be played.
Before I was just doing C&F and trying stuff I read on mASF but it
was all out of place and nothing flowed properly. Now I actually have
something useful to practice. Seeing and working with Savoy and the
instructors helped, of course, because they fixed me in set or
critiqued me afterward. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who
feels 'lost' or wants to step up their game. I saw the light on many
occasions and can now feel myself slowly improving on my way to
becoming a solid PUA!
